Rubina is a staunch feminist, deeply rooted in the belief that women’s personal experiences are inherently tied to broader social and political structures. This perspective inspires her unwavering commitment to systemic change.

As a development professional, she specialises in addressing complex human development challenges with a strong focus on gender equality, intersectionality, and environmental justice. She is passionate about integrating social inclusion into policy and practice, leveraging her expertise in qualitative research, project management, capacity-building, and the creation of impactful communication materials.

She holds a Master’s in Environment and Sustainability from Monash University, Australia, and a Master’s in Development Studies from Kathmandu University, Nepal. Her work is dedicated to dismantling barriers for marginalised communities, ensuring that inclusive policies are transformed into meaningful outcomes on the ground.
