Valentina Peveri (PhD) is an environmental and food anthropologist. Since 2004, she has maintained an active connection with her fieldwork in Ethiopia, and has committed to research projects spanning from polycultural farming and multistoried landscapes, to biodiversity conservation and gender in agriculture.
A feminist political ecology lens has underpinned her recent projects and intellectual orientation as a whole. She has served as a consultant for the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT), the FAO, and the Global Water Partnership (GWP).
Valentina has a proven track record of project and grant design, international consultancy, established professional contacts and collaborative relationships with different stakeholders, and skilled qualitative research. Her native language is Italian, she is fully proficient in English, and is currently in the process of learning Amharic.
