Director of Strategic Engagement and Partnerships

Kelly Durrant is the Director of Strategic Engagement and Partnerships at Includovate. She has a Masters in Public Health and two decades experience in international development, with a focus on health and gender equality.
Kelly is committed to improving the lives of individuals who are marginalised and excluded and is passionate about addressing stigmatised and taboo topics. Kelly sees high quality research and information as vital, and is particularly excited about this element of Includovate’s work.
Kelly has worked in many different capacities across research institutes, NGOs and UN agencies in the Asia Pacific region. She managed research and development programs, prior to progressing into more senior leadership roles..
Kelly has significant expertise in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and other adjacent areas including menstrual health and hygiene(MHH), women’s economic empowerment (WEE), and gender equity, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI).
Prior to joining Includovate, Kelly was the External Relations Director at MSI Asia Pacific where she led government relations, policy, advocacy, research, communications, strategy and fundraising. She advised the Australian government and parliamentarians on SRHR internationally as chair of the International SRHR consortium.
At the Burnet Institute Kelly’s work focused predominantly on women’s and children’s health and disability. She was a representative of the Asia Pacific Alliance for SRH (APA) and a deputy director of the Gender Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (GEDI) Committee. As an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at Monash University, Kelly lectured regularly on a range of health and international development topics.
Kelly has lived in China and travelled regularly to many other countries in the Pacific, Asia and Africa on both short and longer term assignments. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Includovate, is passionate about our mission and is excited to join the team.
